JoAnn was a devoted wife for 57 years, devoted mother, and faithful friend. However, her most important role in life was being a Nana to her 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. It never mattered when or how, JoAnn was someone you could easily engage in a conversation where she could brag on them all.
She spent a lot of time cooking, gardening, sewing, and crocheting; anything that kept her busy and she could put her heart in to. Every Christmas, she blessed her family with beautiful creations that they cherish more than ever.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband and love of her life—David E. Register, and great-granddaughter, Raelynn Martin.
JoAnn is survived by her 3 children, David L. Register (Lynette) of Thomaston, GA; Lisa Esco (Mark) of Phenix City, AL; and Diane R. Thomason (Buster) of Buena Vista, GA; as well as 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
JoAnn loved to tell you how good her God was and when asked how she was doing, she would always tell you, "Blessed and highly favored". Her faith was unwavering. Her life is a reflection of how she loved and she was loved by all who knew her.
