John Benchwick

Memorial services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 5 p.m.

Mr. Benchwick, son of the late Paul Louis Benchwick and Elizabeth Ann Stefanich Benchwick, was born May 28, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was Owner of Applied Building Services, HVAC Co. which served the Columbus area for over 20 years. Mr. Benchwick was Catholic by faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country honorably during the Vietnam Era Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Benchwick of Talbotton, Georgia; three daughters, Susan Mattox and her husband Jon of Danville, Indiana, Amy King and her husband Gabe of Talbotton, Georgia, and Lisa Currington and her husband Michael of Grand Lake, Colorado; one son, Patrick Benchwick and his wife Sheri of Warm Springs, Georgia; one sister, Elizabeth Matteucci and her husband Dr. Gerald Matteucci of Berlin Center, Ohio; one brother, Dr. Paul Benchwick of Scottsdale, Arizona; five grandchildren, Jon, Ashlee, Bailey, Jacob, and Jared; many other relatives and friends.
