Troy was born January 24, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to his late parents Nevora Gingrich James and John Troy James, Sr. As a young man, Troy proudly served his country in the US Army. After his military service, he met and fell for the love of his life and married Ms. Janice Culpepper. They were married for 50 years. Troy was a Christian and loved the Lord. He faithfully served his church out of his love for God and his church family. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended the former Crystal Valley Baptist Church. He was a mechanic and retired from Sears with over 30 years with the company. Troy loved his family, NASCAR, Drag Racing, and watching Georgia and Oklahoma football. He enjoyed playing with his granddaughters, making faces, and making them laugh. Troy will always be remembered as an honorable and dedicated husband, father, brother, and Christian man of his word with high moral standards. All who knew and loved him will miss him.

Troy is a delightful man and the best neighbor for 20+ years. He was kind and always willing to help in any way. When Warner was traveling Troy was only a phone call away if needed. He could play a mean board game and competitive. He was also quick on his feet, as we witnessed his skills while exiting a port-a-potty that got off balance, he took a quick roll to the ground and came out standing and surprisingly he was clean. I will miss him dearly. Our love to Janice, Julie and family. Cathy and Warner
