Johnny Lee Byrd, Jr., 47, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 12PM until 2PM for family and friends in the Wildwood Room of Striffer-Hamby Mortuary.
Born on February 17, 1975, in Columbus, Georgia to Johnny Lee Byrd Sr. and Debbie Kay Smith Mulkey. Johnny enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He liked hanging out with friends, playing video games, watching movies and listening to Rock music. Johnny loved animals.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Janell Shiver, and Wiley B and Margaret Smith; his uncle, Wayne Smith.
Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Johnny Lee Byrd Sr. and Debbie Kay Mulkey; brother, Patrick Whaley; sister, Christin Whaley; aunts, Cindy Shiver and Paula Evans; uncles, Mike Smith and Wiley Smith Jr.; cousins, Elizabeth Evans, Sarah Shealy, Jonathan Smith, and Christopher Smith.
