Joshua Gage Ledford

Joshua Gage Ledford, 20, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, Georgia. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

Josh was born May 28, 1992 to Michele McLendon Ledford and the late Bobby Eugene Ledford in Columbus, Georgia. He was a senior at Northside High School and always enjoyed going to school and Easter Seals, where he had been since age 1. Josh’s favorite color was orange, and it showed through his favorite character, Tigger from “Winnie the Pooh.” He loved Kit-Kat bars and Yoo-Hoos and had an infectious laugh, gorgeous smile and beautiful blue eyes. Josh was always happy and everyone loved him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy McLendon and Sandra McLendon; and paternal grandparents, Hoyt Ledford and Shelby Hall.

Survivors include his mother, Michele McLendon Ledford of Columbus; an uncle, Pete McLendon and his children, Ashley, Sandy and Colt; aunts, Jeanette Warr (Spud) and their children, Little Spud and Katie and Vicki Bonner and her children, Amber and Cory.
