Joshua McDonald

Joshua Blake McDonald, 31, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Rivertown Church, 6953 Schomburg Road, Columbus, Georgia 31909.

Joshua was born on July 6, 1994, in Columbus, Georgia to Jeannie Lumpkin and Paul McDonald II. You could always find him either in the woods hunting and fishing or in the kitchen cooking. The thing that stuck with you about Josh was his tremendous kindness and generosity that he had. He never met a stranger and was so giving. He gave the jacket off his back more than once and was always helping others. One thing for sure is the love that he had for his children, London and Oakleigh and his rescue dog, Dixie.

Joshua is survived by his children, London (13) and Oakleigh (8); his parents, Paul McDonald II and Jeannie Clark (Rodney); his siblings, Nicholas McDonald and Mary Elizabeth Davis; his maternal grandmother, Janice Barton Lumpkin; his nieces and nephews, Eric Welch (Lauren), Cayden McDonald, Nicholas McDonald Jr., Bayleigh Davis and Bryson Davis; great nieces and nephews, Stella Robinson, Charlotte Robinson, Abby Clark, Maggie Welch, Paisley Welch, Brittney Whit, Hunter Phillips, Conner Phillips, Lucas Clark, and Tyler LaVorde; aunts and uncles, Jamie Griggs (Brian), Tyrone Rutan (Susan), and Gary McDonald Jr.; and cousins, Tyler and Joey Rutan, Courtney, Christopher, Sean, Shannon, Kale, and Ethan McDonald, Kody (Jennifer), Kaleb (Chloe), and Chelsea Lumpkin (McKelle).

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wayne Ross Lumpkin; his maternal uncle, Johnny Wayne Lumpkin; and his paternal grandparents, Gary and Linda McDonald.
