Joy B. Lemieux

Joy B. Lemieux a loving mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Jessie A. Kelley Browning and Henry A. Browning. Joy was born in Ranger, Texas and has lived most of her life in Columbus, Georgia. She was married to the late Raymond J. Lemieux and together they made Columbus their home. Joy was an instrumental part of the family business Ray Rents.

She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her sons: Michael Lemieux (Marlene), John Lemieux, and David Lemieux (Jaime); her very cherished grandchildren: Lena Lemieux Dawkins (Hunter), Emma Lemieux, John Paul Lemieux, Sam Lemieux (McKenzie), Henry Lemieux; her very adored great-grandchildren: Mary Louise Lemieux and William Harris Dawkins; and many other family members and cherished friends.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Henry Browning; her husband, Raymond J. Lemieux; her sisters: Pearl Marcille McCool and Etera Bell Beckham; and her brothers: Herman Allensworth Browning and Malory Lafon “Buddy” Browning.

A service to celebrate Joy’s life will be held at Grace Church, 7211 Britton Drive, Columbus, Georgia 31904 with Reverend Charles Hasty officiating on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Joy’s family will visit with friends in the fellowship hall of Grace Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
