Juanita E. Meadows, 91, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Columbus Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Sauls and Rev. Wendell Meadows officiating with burial at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Meadows was born January 10, 1927 in Slocomb, AL, the daughter of the late John and Mannie Ezell. She graduated from Slocomb High School in the spring of 1944. After graduating she would go on to marry the late Winford Meadows in September of the same year. Mrs. Meadows was a member of University Avenue Assembly of God Church in Columbus GA, and a Sunday school teacher for over forty five years. Juanita was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Some of her interest were crocheting, sewing, and reading a good book.
Survivors include her five children, Linda Sauls (Jerry), Wendell Meadows (Judy), Jerry Meadows (Donna), Gayle Meadows (Candy), and Joe Meadows (Tammy); one sister, Tommie Railey; eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several other friends and family members.
