Julianne H. Richard

Julianne Richard, age 82, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on February 3, 2022. A Visitation of Family and Friends will take place at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary at 2:00 PM with burial following at Parkhill Cemetery.

Julianne was born on August 1, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia to the late William Alton Hamric and Lena Obelle Rodgers Hamric. She attended Jordan High School. Julianne married Gerald Dean Richard at the Russell County Courthouse on April 16, 1956. She was a homemaker all of her life and loved her family with all of heart. She could often be found thrift shopping, playing bingo, going out to eat or spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a selfless, incredibly strong wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family fiercely.

Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Richard; daughter, Deborah McHone; father, William Hamric; mother, Lena Hamric; brother, James Hamric.

Survivors include her daughters: Stacy McHone and Jennifer Richard; brother, Jerry Hamric; grandchildren: Jason McHone, John McHone, Lee McHone, Shelena McHone, Ralph McHone Jr, Cassie Hendrickson, Dylan Dunn, and Haley Dunn; great grandchildren: Dakota Fleming, Ashton Coppins, Julien Taylor, Jackson McHone, Angelena McHone, Khloe McHone, Capri Hendrickson, Delilah McHone, Ellajae McHone, Maggie McHone and RJ McHone.
