

Julie Dale Morsie 53, of Columbus passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 2-4pm at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Monday December 11, 2017 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Pastor Barbara Starling. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
Julie was born August 9, 1964, in Columbus GA daughter of David Curenton and Linda Rinder. She was a loving wife, mother, nanny and friend to many. She worked at AFLAC where she was passionate about her job. Julie loved life itself. The outdoors was her most favorite place to be whether it was at the beach, in the mountains, or walking in local parks around town. She loved her grandchildren dearly and her backyard was her paradise. Julie had an extra special compassion for any kind of animal that came her way. She loved her precious dogs Girlie and Peaches. She loved watching Nascar and Georgia Bulldogs.
Julie is survived by her loving husband, George “Squirrel” Morsie, one daughter Julia (Theodore) Abner, two grandsons Kayne and Lennox of Columbus, Ga.; father David (Carolyn) Curenton of Columbus, Ga.; mother Linda (John) Rinder of Hamilton, Ga.; half brother Jerome Curenton of Fairfield, Ca.; aunt April Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; uncle James Rogers of Columbus, Ga.; brother-in-law Greg (Donna) Morsie of Columbus, Ga.; sister-in-law Leona (John) Bukartek of Centerville, Va.; sister-in-law Yvonne Bertam of Va.; and best friend Ralena McDonald of Phenix City, Al.
