Julius Griffin

Julius Griffin, age 90, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. He is now reunited in Heaven with Sarah Sue, his loving wife of 69 years. A visitation for family and friends of Julius aka “Griff” will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907, followed by a celebration of Julius' life at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jeff O’Neal will officiate the service and Pastor Eddie Maynor will officiate the committal at the graveside.

Julius, was born on May 17, 1932; the son of Dee Griffin and Connie Pitts Griffin.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; his brothers, twin brother, Jarrett “Mickey” Griffin, Randy Griffin, Calvin Griffin, Bobby Griffin; a sister, Linda Griffin Smith.

Survivors include: two children, daughter Debra (Lee) Griffin Lewis; her children, Matthew Logan Lewis, Lauren Elby Knight, and Johanna Leigh Lewis; grandchildren, Hudson, Harper, Sadie, Brody Lewis, Jobe and Jonah Knight; son, David Adam Griffin, his children, Chelsey Cooper, Megan Griffin, and Shawn David O’Neal Griffin; grandchildren, Kaydince, Shawn, Aubrey, Aaleigha, Claire, Jeremiah, Neveah, and Christian Mateo, his brothers, Horace “Chick” Griffin of Panama City Beach, FL; Jerry Griffin of Toccoa, GA; sisters, Mary Cordell, Dee Ann Griffin, both of Toccoa, GA; and 21 nieces and nephews from Toccoa, GA.
