Kathryn Elizabeth Boggs, age 57, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away at her home Sunday, January 13, 2019 after courageously battling cancer for three and a half years. Family and friends will gather at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6:00 til 8:00 PM in The Mill Room.
Kathy is the daughter of Albert E. Boggs and Kiyoko Ikeda Boggs; she was born on June 18, 1961 in San Diego, California. She graduated from Kendrick High School in Columbus, Georgia in 1979. She previously worked at Country’s Barbecue and worked for Walmart for over 24 years. Kathy was always fun, compassionate, selfless and adventurous. She dedicated her spare time to Paws Humane Animal Society and East Alabama Humane Society. She loved her family and friends unconditionally, and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by many.
She leaves behind her loving life partner, Traci Tucker; sons, Chase Boggs, Jeremy Golden, and Preston Boggs; two brothers, John Boggs and his wife Sandy, Robert Boggs and his wife Gay; sister, Patricia Boggs; nieces and nephews, Christie Grewe and her husband Joel, Shannon Saiers and her husband Beau, Thomas Boggs, Xavier Gamboa; Cousin Victoria Prince; several great nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and other extended relatives in Japan.
