Kathy was born in Phenix City, Alabama on February 26, 1952, the daughter of Raymond A. Glau and Lugene Gibson Glau. Kathy is a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Jordan High School. She was married to David Mercer for 24 years until his passing. After some time, she married James Stewart, and they were married for four years. Kathy worked for Tom’s Foods for many years. She then went to work for CSU as the Business Coordinator of the Cunningham Center. Kathy was a caring and compassionate lady who was always serving and thinking of others. She enjoyed camping, cooking, and spending time with friends. What she truly loved was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the glue that kept them close, and she instilled an understanding that “nothing is more important than family.”
