Kirby was adventurous, beloved, compassionate, and hard-working. He loved fishing and was often seen riding around in his truck with his dog, Nonam. Everyone remembers him with the big white dog in the passenger seat. Kirby cherished working in his yard, tending to his flowers and bushes, and he’d often tell the kids, “Stay out of my flower beds!” He enjoyed sitting by the fire with his “medicine” in hand.
Professionally, Kirby worked as a brick mason, a carpenter, and a landscaper, but he was truly a man of many trades. His love for his family was profound, especially for his grandchildren, for whom he was the best Pawpaw. Though not a man of many words, Kirby had a unique way of showing his love to his family.
A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, located at 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia, 31907, on December 4, 2025, at 3:00 pm. Family will visit with friends after the service at the graveside.
