Kum Cha was born on October 4, 1940, in Seoul, South Korea. She moved to the United States in 1968. After retiring as a seamstress, she spent her time working in her garden, going to the beach and fishing, but what she loved most was spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and her sister. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Truelove; her daughter, Jenny Parker (Michael); her grandchildren, Christopher Truelove (Danielle) and Evan Parker (Savannah); 2 great grandchildren; her brothers, Chang Soo Yi (Song Ok) and Yon Soo Yi (Chong) as well as several nieces and nephews.
