Columbus, Georgia- Kum Soon "Betty" Waldheim, 74, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with interment to follow in Fort Benning, Main Post Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Striffler - Hamby, Edgewood Hall with the visitation to follow until 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. Waldheim was born December 5, 1939 in Seosan, Republic of Korea, the daughter of the late Sam Kong Kim and the late Ky Won Park. She had lived in Columbus since 1961 and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She retired as a business woman and restaurateur.
Survivors include her four children, Sylvia F. Head, Robert M. Head, Henry R. Waldheim, and Raymond W. Waldheim; a sister, Kum Sook Kim Van Zee; a brother, Kap Seon Kim; a half-sister, Kum Ja Kim; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
