Kyong Beattie a loving mother and grandmother who was the world to her daughters and grandchildren passed away on January 15, 2021. She was born in Korea on August 20, 1950. Kyong met a young Army soldier, Tony Beattie while he was stationed in Korea. They were married and moved to the United States of America where she became a citizen on November 13, 1979. She was very proud of her new citizenship.
Kyong was a very strong will lady who lived life to the fullest. She loved her family dearly above all else. She had a thumb so green as her family would attest to that she could grow any plant she touched. She must have been related to Mother Nature. Kyong was a lady who was a go getter and wouldn’t let any obstacle get in her way. She owned and operated her own grocery store, PAJ Grocery until her health wouldn’t allow her to manage things as she saw fit. If she wasn’t at home with her family or at work in her store, you would most likely find her traveling or shopping. Kyong loved to cook, crochet, photography, and drinking a good cup of coffee or a cola. She was always there for her two girls and her grandchildren, they were Kyong’s stars and she was their Moon. She will be forever in their hearts.
Kyong leaves her legacy to be cherished by her daughters, Angel B. Jackson and her husband, Kendrick D. Jackson and Janice Beattie; her loving grandchildren: Erica L. Kuykendall, Daysia Daniel and her spouse, Frederick Daniel, Bobby Cooks Jr., and Kendrick D. Jackson Jr.; great grandson, Kingstian Edwards; nieces: Angella Harris and her spouse, Dontay Harris and Erica Postell; great nieces: Zaria Harris, Aaliyah Harris, Kamara Davila, Khristiana Davila, Michaela Montgomery, Malia Montgomery, and Kehlani Postell; great nephews: Smiley Harris, Lezjaun Harris, and Javari Harris; great great nephew, Dre Harris; brother-in-law, Robert Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her sister, Chin Suk Montgomery, and her nephew, Aaron Montgomery.
