Lamar Taylor

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Billy Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Taylor was born April 12, 1936 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Charlie and Murkel Watson Taylor, and was retired.

Survivors include his son, Kenneth Taylor and his wife, Sandra of Columbus, GA; His daughter Deborah Pye of Columbus, GA; his fiancé, Fran Whaley of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren, Patrick Michael Pye, Amber Marie Taylor, Matthew Neal Pye, and Hunter Sky Taylor; one great grandchild Riley Marie Taylor; six sisters, Eleanor Williams, Peggy Slaughter, Patricia Brister and her husband, Tommy, Gloria Watson, Renvia Hunsinger and her husband, Danny, Wanda Ogden and her husband, Bill; one brother, Byron Taylor and his wife, Jeanette; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
