Larry Kenneth Berry, age 68, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Larry was born August 22, 1950 in Rome, Georgia to his late parents, Mittie Ruth Worthington Berry and William Carl Berry.
Larry graduated from Columbus High School, joined The National Guard and married the love of his life, Mona Rogers Berry. Larry and Mona were married for over 47 years and she was his loving wife and caretaker. He always lived life to the fullest. Larry enjoyed boating and fishing, working on cars, watching the Andy Griffin show or listening to John Boy and Billy. He loved a good laugh and was always clowning around and joking. Larry was a hard worker and was a manager in the furniture business. He will always be remembered for his laughter, his love of his family and his service to his country.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mona Rogers Berry; daughters, Jennifer Berry and Leslie Berry; and many other family members and friends that will always cherish his loving memory.
A Visitation and Celebration of Larry's Life will occur Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Wildwood Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Fond memories and condolences may be left for the Berry family at www.SHColumbus.com
