

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. Burial will follow in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby.
Lawrence “Larry” J. Frost was born in Missouri to the late Pearl Mullins Frost and Charlie Frost. Larry is preceded in death also by his two brothers. He served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War with three tours of duty and was decorated with three purple hearts during that time. After serving in Vietnam he was an Airborne Instructor, he retired after twenty-six years as a Master Sargent, then served in the Civil Service and retired from there sixteen years later. Upon retirement he dedicated his time to his beloved grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His legacy includes his loving wife of forty-three years, Helen S. Frost, his daughters: Mary McKee (Mike) Cannon and Cheryl McKee Dowie; former son-in-law, Derek Dowie; grandchildren: Kristin Cannon, Michael Cannon, and the late Danielle Dowie; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Dowie; brother-in-law, Charles Underhill; nephew, James Underhill and his family.
