Lena Jane Wood

Lena Jane Saint Wood, age 87, of Columbus, GA., passed away in Phenix City, AL. on Monday, January 28, 2019. Mrs. Wood was born the daughter of the late Gordon Lee Saint and Hattie Savannah Lindsey Saint on July 2, 1931 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road, at 11 AM with a visitation for family and friends, one hour prior. Burial will follow funeral services in Parkhill Cemetery.

Mrs. Wood was a homemaker that loved spending time with her children and family. She loved her savior Jesus Christ and was a Christian throughout her life. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, arts and crafts, and watching the TV shows Big Bang Theory and General Hospital. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William S. Wood, Jr.; her daughter, Patsy A. Lenard; and brothers, Gordon Lee Saint and Donald Saint. She is survived by her children, Robert A. Wood, William S. Wood III and his wife Anne; granddaughter, Lena Lee and her husband, Jacob; grandson, Corey Wood; great granddaughter, Gabby Lee, Megan Palmer and Savannah Leigh Harris; great grandsons, Austin Garrett Lee, Braeden Lee, Brandon Lee, Jacob Lee, Ryker Wood and nephew, Richard Saint.
