Leon Irving Bailey Jr.

He grew up in Columbus, Georgia before his family moved to Griffin, Georgia. Leon graduated from Griffin High School. He moved back to Columbus and attended Columbus Technical School obtaining his Electrician certification. Leon worked for Jordan Electrical until his health wouldn't allow him to work. He was married to Katherine Kennon Bailey for over 45 years. Leon enjoyed woodworking, listening to classic rock and taking cruises with his family. He loved his family beyond measure, his grandchildren were his universe. Leon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved him.

Leon leaves his loving memory to be cherished by his mother, Faye Bailey of Griffin, GA; his loving wife Kathy; his loving daughters: Mistie (Chris) Herring and Melissa Bailey; his very adored grandchildren: Edward Chase Herring and Katherine Elizabeth Herring; his brothers: Brian (Teresa) Bailey and Bill (Teresa) Bailey both of Griffin, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Leon Irving Bailey, Sr.
