We moved to Morningside Dr in Columbus, Ga when I was almost 7 and we lived next door to the Lands.  I ws so scared n the bus, because I was afraid  I would get off the bus at the wrong time. I ws short and skinny and ne never called me anything but Itty Bitty and I loved it.  He always helped me. Always kind. My son and I went to see him shortly after he died.  His neighbor invited us in and ws o very kind.  I had seen him a couple of times.  He was a sweet and crying man.  



I worked with Pappy Roy all the time he worked in Opelika.
I have tried to keep up with him every year because he and my daughter had the same birthday Oct. 23 and usually tried to call that date to say Happy Birthday to him. But due to my own medical problems for last few years I have lost contact with him

I will say this in closing he and I have  some good and bad times in Opelika ans I loved him like a brother
