Lester Eugene Wyatt

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler – Hamby, 4071 Macon Road. Dr. John Talley and Mr. Paul Lee will officiate with interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wyatt was born May 11, 1928 in Columbus, Georgia son of the late Henry Edgar Wyatt and the late Mable Bassett Wyatt. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus and Ellerslie.

Mr. Wyatt was a very loving and thoughtful husband, father, and grandfather. He was longtime Sales Executive with Coke after fifty years of service and eighteen years of service with Builders Choice Fireplaces. He was a board member with Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Department with eight years, with Jr Achievement for ten years, sixty five year Master Mason with Mt. Herman Masonic Lodge, a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and a devoted GA Bulldog fan.

Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of sixty three years, Edith Priester Wyatt, a daughter, Susan Wyatt Harvey, and a grandson, Darrell Lee Harvey.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandy Wyatt Greene of Waverly Hall; one son, Lester “Skip” Wyatt and his wife, Beth of Ellerslie; four grandchildren, Ashley Gopfert and her fiancé, Adam Bressler, Roy Greene, III, Janie Lynn Greene, and Joseph Benjamin Wyatt; his beloved dog, Sparky; one sister-in-law, Shirley Priester Welch; several nieces and nephews.
