Lewis Edward Milner Jr.

Lewis E. Milner, Jr., age 84, passed away on February 8, 2012. Graveside services will be held in Parkhill Cemetery on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Vernon Prather officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Mr. Milner was born on March 1, 1927 to the late Lewis Edward Milner, Sr. and Norma McCrary Littefield in Harris County, GA. He was a member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Milner was retired from Lummus Industries after 25 years of service. He loved spending time with his family and traveling to his old hometowns. Mr. Milner was preceded in death by a daughter, Millicent White; two grandchildren, William M. White, Jr. and Shannon D. Davis; two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sara Milner of Seale, AL; two daughters, Cleon Davis of Seale, AL and LaVerne O'Hearn (Billy) of Franklin, GA; six grandchildren, Jason Davis of Phenix City, AL, Dawn Woodworth (James) of Phenix City, AL, Ashley Lee (Keith) of Newnan, GA, Johnathon Risinger (Tabitha) of Cataula, GA, Brittany Risinger of Franklin, GA and Jeffrey O'Hearn of Franklin, GA; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Woodworth and Johnathon Risinger, Jr.; five sisters, three brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
