My mother Maria Muniz grew up with Lillian and Lillian's sister Josefina in old San Juan. Later on, my father was stationed in Fort Benning 1962 to 1969, so Lillian and her family were our surrogate relatives in Columbus. My sister Cynthia and I still on occasion talk about the Tharp family, and we wish the best for all of them.
