Linda Gayle Cobb McCain

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.Linda Gayle McCain, 67, of Richland, GA, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Monday, July 4, 2016. She was born to her late parents Sue and A. P. Cobb, Jr. July 31, 1948 in Slocomb, AL. Linda retired as a Registration Supervisor at Columbus Regional Medical Center. She loved gardening, canning vegetables, cooking for her family, family gatherings and fishing. Her passion was her family, she loved to visit with them and she will be greatly missed.

The family will welcome guests for visitation Friday, July 8, 2016 from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will follow at 3:00 pm in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Brad Melton officiating.

Along with her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her daughter Juanita Hart, and her sister Gloria Rolison. She is survived by her adoring husband of 49 years Grady “Ross” McCain; daughter Candace (Nick) Collins of Richland, GA; son Jay (Jill) McCain of Richland, GA; sisters, Deborah (Rick) Newman and Elsie (WC) Hall; grandchildren, Taylor Bishop, Savannah Bishop, Amanda Hendricks, Hannah McCain, Hunter McCain, and Holly McCain; nieces, nephews, other family members and many, many friends
