Mrs. Linda Frances Pearce, age 62, passed away on December 14, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus at 1:00 PM.
Linda was born on June 15, 1949 to the late Theodore and Frances Pell in Greenville, Mississippi. Mrs. Pearce was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors. She was always rescuing animals and taking them in to give them love and shelter. Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Chuck Pearce of Buena Vista, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Breanda Pearce of Covington, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Chandra and Steven Davis of Buena Vista, GA and Melonie and Richard Platz of Hamilton, GA; five grandchildren, Daniella, Cameron, Dylon, Meagan and Erik; four sisters, Irene Kent of Houston, TX, Ruth Stokes of Greenville, MS, Callie Stokes of Hazlehurst, MS and Susan Hill of Meridian, MS; as well as several nieces and nephews.
