Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia with Reverend David Howle officiating. Family will visit with friends before the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
Lore Marie Joos Parks was born on August 22, 1923 in Germany to the late Karl and Marie Joos. After high school she worked in Germany, where she met her first husband, they later moved back to the States and made Columbus, Georgia their home. She later married the late Ernest “Mr. P” Parks after Mr. Thatch’s passing. They were married for more than ten years before his passing. Mrs. Parks was a stay at home mom and house wife. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Steve Thatch (Sheila) and two grandsons: Daniel Thatch and Garrett Thatch.
