Lowell Arthur Littrell

Those who knew Lowell remember a man of steady devotion and quiet strength—someone whose gentleness was felt in everyday moments and whose wisdom was offered without pretense. He carried himself with an honesty that earned trust, and with a resilience that met life’s demands with calm determination.

Lowell’s work ethic shaped much of his life. He worked at West Point Pepperell Mill for over 45 years, a testament to the diligence and perseverance he brought to his responsibilities and to the life he built through consistent, hard work.

On February 14, 1970, Lowell married Patricia Blair, and together they shared a life rooted in love and family. He especially enjoyed spending time with those he cherished most, and his presence was a steady, dependable comfort to the people around him.

In quieter hours, Lowell found peace in simple, meaningful pursuits. He loved reading the Bible, going fishing, and working in the yard. He enjoyed sitting outdoors watching the birds, and he had a patient, practical curiosity—tinkering with things he could take apart just to put them back together.

Lowell is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Blair Littrell; his son, Stephen W. Littrell (Joyce Littrell); his daughter, Melissa Littrell Phipps; his grandchildren, Mikayla Miller, Madison Larkin, Robert "Trey" Phipps, Mackenzie Phipps Mullins, and Patrick Phipps; his great-grandchildren, Denver Miller and Axton Miller; his brothers: Charles Littrell (Claira), Allen Littrell (Gail), and James Littrell; his sisters: Wanda Davis, Shelby Kinard, Angela Thomas and Teresa Duke (Kenny); and many other family members.

Lowell was preceded in death by his father, Frank Littrell; his mother, Mildred Bailey Littrell; and his brother, Joseph "Joe" Littrell.

Visitation for Family and Friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Columbus, Fisher Chapel, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907, on August 15, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Columbus, Fisher Chapel, on August 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm.

Lowell will be laid to rest at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus.
