Lucia "Lucy" Wijangco Williams

A Celebration Mass of Lucy’s life will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013, 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Gerry Schreck officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. Graveside service will follow at noon at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, March 31, 2013, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM following with a rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Lucy was born December 13, 1935 in Calulut San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines, daughter of the late Angel and Isabel Panlilio Wijangco. She was currently working for Drs. Lois and Festus Enumah for the past 24 years. She previously worked many years for Dr. Jackson Crowder. Lucy was very active with the Filipino-American Association, currently served as Chair for General Welfare and previously served as Public Relations Officer. She was a long standing member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Lucy was a very active person. She loved to exercise, play golf, and dance.

Survivors include three daughters, Clare Williams Steinbook and her husband, Michael, Mary Frances Casciaro Cooley and her husband, Chris, and Sharon Brown; five grandchildren, Candice Greathouse, Miles Greathouse, Nichole Casciaro, Kelly Sanders, and Jason Halsey; two great grandchildren, Dorian Greathouse and Ethan Casciaro; four sisters, Demetria, Eufracia, Isabelle, and Nenita; two brothers, Angelito and Marian; one niece, Becky Guzman; plus numerous other close relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Casciaro, and a brother, Francisco Wijangco.
