Lucille O. Jackson

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Mill Room at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd Columbus, Georgia. Her family will visit with friends before the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.

Lucille Ophelia McLemore Jackson was born on February 12, 1921 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Woodie Ellen Hunter McLemore and Dallas Lafayette McLemore. She was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia. Mrs. Lucille retired from the Bradley Center. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Jack” Jackson, siblings, Cecil McLemore, Julia Cooper, Dallas McLemore, and Edith Carden.

She is survived by her sons, Brewster C. Land (Carol), and Aaron O. Land (Mary Jane); sisters, Ellen Blocker, Betty Kaneaster, and Katie Appling (Ray); grandchildren, Terri Ozley (Daryl), Alison Brown (Erik), Angie Land, and Lisa Land; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
