Many a beautiful memories were made by my Tio Luz & Tia Cruz with my parents, Cayetano & Esther. I spoke with my mother and  she has many pleasant memories which she holds dear to her heart, particularly  of just how much my dad loved his brother, Luz. The stories were endless and in my father's last months he recanted with tear filled eyes his venture from La Quinta to LA to find his brother, Luz. This is the in 1950's when he first arrived in the USA with the Brazero program. As he told me, his face began to light up as he shared his elation when he had to located his brother Luz at a ranch in LA. He spoke of how Tio Luz took my dad on his Harley up and down the coast of California. My father was so proud of his brother Luz and loved him so. Well, now your father Chita is with Rosa Estella, Oscar, my dad Cayetano and all my other Piña Tios and his parents. I can only imagine what a reunion they are having with mariachis, Harleys, his loving family and surrounded by all those trumpeting seraphims! I send you blessings, and to my Tia Cruz, Lola, Jose Angel and all of your family.

Tio Luz enjoyed his life and left no regrets. His visits to the desert  with Tia Cruz on the Harley were some of my best memories of Luz Pina.  He was loved by us all.

Tio Luz will be missed.  He was loved by all the met him.  
A very dear uncle who was very loved by my dad Cayetano.  They are now together in heaven with all their other loved ones.  Until we meet again, God bless them.

Many a beautiful memories were made by my Tio Luz & Tia Cruz with my parents Cayetano and Esther. I witnessed an everlasting youthfulness that existed  when they were all together. It now is a reminder  to live today to it's fullest.  My Tio Luz seemed to have an extra special grip on his ability to capture ‘this moment' and make it special.  I spoke with my mother, Esther yesterday and she shared pleasant memories as to how much my Dad, Cayetano loved his brother Luz. The stories were endless and I clearly recall in my father's last months how he once again brought to mind with tear filled eyes how he went to go look for my Tio Luz. My dad was in La Quinta in the 1950's with the Brazero program and he detailed his adventure when he found my Tio Luz in LA. Your dad rode my dad all through California, up and down the coast on his Harley. That is when my father's face would light up….reliving the moment was special, too.  My father was so, so proud of his brother Luz and loved him so. Well, now he is with Rosa Estella, Oscar, my Dad Cayetano and all my other Piña Tios….plus his loving parents. I can only imagine the reunion they are having right now. A celebration with Mariachis, Harleys and all his loving family and the trumpets of seraphims surrounding them.  He loved you Chita dearly and as I reflect on your loving presence and the comfort you provided him in his end days, I am proud of you as well for showing us all how to care for our parents in their end days.  I send blessings to you, my Tia Cruz, Lola, Jose Angel and all of your family.
