Margaret Sue Moseley went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2023. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 4980 Hancock Road, Midland, GA 31820 at 11:00 a.m. January 31, 2023.
Margaret Sue was born in West Palm Beach, FL August 24, 1926, grew up in Meridian, MS, graduated from the University of Alabama and married the love of her life, Algie M. Moseley, Jr., in 1948. They moved to Columbus, GA in 1952.
She is known for her consuming love of the Lord. She never met a stranger and had many friends of every age in the community. Her passion was for teaching, and she taught all her life: teaching children about Jesus with a flannel board; teaching her students at Columbus High School history and geography; teaching Bible studies at church or at home; and teaching individuals about growing in their relationship with God. She had the gift of teaching and she used it all her life. Margaret Sue was a long-time supporter and friend of Ligonier Ministries in Sanford, FL. She became great friends with the founder, R.C. Sproul and his family. She attended many conferences, bringing friends with her. It was a big part of her life and a great blessing to her.
One of her favorite Scripture verses was Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
She was predeceased by her husband, Algie M. Moseley, Jr., her parents, Robert R. and Georgie B. Wallace, and her brother, Robert R. Wallace, Jr. Those that are left missing her but rejoicing with her in her homecoming to be with her Lord and Savior are her daughter, Georgie S. Moseley Phillips (Henry Lynn), five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and precious nieces, Ann Wickman (Eric), Shari Krywanio (Ron) and Barbara Berger (Larry) and many, many friends and extended family.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Angela Baker and her team for the loving care given to Mrs. Moseley and her family during the last year plus of her life. The family would also like to thank Columbus Hospice for their help and care for Mrs. Moseley and her family during the last weeks of her life.
Other favorite Scripture verses that were important to her were Isaiah 26:3 – “You will keep in perfect peace him whose minds are steadfast, because he trusts in you.” And Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
