Maria loved to travel and often would say she should have been born a Gypsy. Along with her love of traveling she
enjoyed an active social life and entertaining. This love of traveling took her to Chicago where she pursued a career
as a travel agent and met her second husband, Walter Laroque. They shared a love of travel, entertaining, being social and
were both devoted to their faith. The couple moved back to Walter's home in New Orleans where they enjoyed an active life
style, and Maria continued her career as a travel agent. After the death of her husband Maria moved to Columbus to be closer
to her daughter and grandchildren. She became an active member of her church where she found comfort and made a life for
herself. She enjoyed new friendships and was able to spend more time with her family. Maria left us July 16,2021, a Rosary will be held at The Church of the Holy Family on Friday July 23, 2021 at 6:00PM with a Funeral Mass at Holy Family on Saturday July 24, 2021 at 10:00AM.
Maria is survived by her two daughters, son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by her friends and family.
