Marian Newlin McDonald (78) of Columbus, GA passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 13 surrounded by family. She was born August 18, 1942, to Margaret Rebecca Newlin and Marion Elmo Newlin.

Ms. McDonald is survived by her three sons, Eldridge Newlin, James McDonald, and Mark McDonald, as well as her brother, Elmo Murray Newlin. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces.

A Memorial Service for Ms. McDonald will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 2:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary at 4701 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends at the mortuary an hour before the service, and afterward at the McDonald home at 4052 Twilight Drive, Columbus, GA 31909.
