Marie Hill, age 90, resident of Columbus, died on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled at Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 3 p.m. with Reverend Paul Thomas and Reverend Bud Rupel officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum of Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 2-3 p.m.
Mrs. Hill, daughter of the late Walter Anthony Thames and Dona Belle McDaniel Thames, was born November 2, 1924 in Forsyth, Georgia. She was a homemaker and member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband, Earl Dean Hill of Columbus; one daughter, Debra McCullar and her husband Doug of Fortson, Georgia; one granddaughter, Kimberly Ann McCullar of Columbus; one sister, Naomi Perry of Columbus; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
