Marlene passed over to be with the Lord on February 15, 2025 at the age of 91 with her family at her side. She was born on May 28, 1933 in Columbus, Georgia, where she lived until she moved to Brickmont Assisted Living in Woodstock, Georgia in October of 2021. Two years later, she was moved by her family to The Oaks Memory Care in Woodstock, Georgia. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman Hill, her son, Steven W. Hill and her grandsons Jonathan Hatcher “Hatch” Patrick and Joey Scott. Marlene was survived by her son, Michael T. Hill, her daughters Gwynn Scott Odell and Cynthia Hatcher Patrick.
Marlene successfully raised four children to know and love our Lord Jesus. She never wavered in her faith even up to her dying day. That is the greatest mark of a life well lived.
Marlene was cremated, per her wishes, and was interred at Park Hill Cemetery next to her husband Herman Hill and her son Steven W. Hill.
