Martha June Derryberry Goodwin

A Funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at Britt David Baptist Church, 2801 Britt David Rd., Columbus, Georgia 31904 on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia. Family will visit with friends Monday evening at Striffler-Hamby in the Wildwood Room from 6:00 until 8:00.

Martha June Derryberry-Goodwin was born on June 25, 1931 to the late Martha Louise Hall Derryberry and Steve Derryberry. She grew up in Dade County, Georgia and lived there most of her life. Mrs. Martha was married to the late Donald Wayne Goodwin. Other than her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Summerford and Cloi Mae Gearrin, her brothers, George and Johnny Crumley; grandsons, Adam, Tommy, and Raymond. She loved to visit the beach, the casinos, watch wrestling (WWE on Monday nights) and tending to her flowers she transplanted to her yard. She was a loving Mother and Granny to all, she loved life and lived it to the fullest.

She leaves her legacy to her children, Charlie Bryant, Martha Jane and Jim Reece, Richard and Brenda Bryant, Mark and Tina Goodwin; grandchildren, Donny, Jessica, Heather, Bobby, Scott, Weston, Chris, Lee, Jake, Ashley, Jeremy, Chey Ann, Cody, Courtney, Kayla, Taylor, Isabella, Pierson; great-grandchildren, Chase, Braelyn, Kenzie, Camille, Kayleigh, Kaydin, Gavin, Ethan, Kyla, Jacob, Brian, Eric, Desimond, Sloan, Savvy, Lex, Emily, Kenny, Lilly, and Leah so they may cherish her loving memory forever.
