He received his education in the Junction City, Kansas school system as a member of a military family. After his high school years, the family returned to Fort Benning, and Columbus, Georgia, where he joined the United States Army. During his military career as a Drill Sergeant, he was stationed at Fort Benning, Fort Hood, Panama, Korea, Fort Cambell, and served on deployment in Viet Nam in the Airborne Unit. After his Military career he worked as a Big Rig driver for Dolly Madison.
He became affiliated with Kingdom Metropolitan Worship Centre under the guidance of Bishop Marshall McGill. He was faithful to the Lord and his church.
He always had a joke for everyone at all family gatherings. No matter what teams were playing whatever sport his cheer and reply was “Roll Tide”.
He loved his family and had a special soft spot in his heart for children as they had for him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 28 years Vicki Manuel Humber, a daughter, Tanya Vaughn – Crowell (Bernard), a sister, Linda Joyce Copeland (Dwight), a brother, Ricky Humber (Sienie), an uncle, Curtis Leon Stovall (Betty), 3 sisters in law, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a devoted cousin Richard Allen Sr. (Felicia), a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during the past couple days.
