Marvin Wayne Wentz, age 61, of Ellerslie, GA was called home to rest with Jesus on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. He was born on August 14, 1962 in Harrisburg, Illinois and was the most loving and caring man we’ve ever been blessed to know. A wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, son, and a very proud grandpa. He loved fishing, throwing darts, and all things centered around family and friends. He served this great country in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force and retired honorably in 2003. In retirement, he was the best stay-at-home dad ever for his youngest son Sam. His family was his heart and he cherished every moment spent with them. We know he will be with us always.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Roxanne Parrish of Ellerslie, GA, father and step-mother, Charles Wentz and Sherry of Fulton, MO; three sons, Charles (Taylor) Wentz and Kayla of Cataula, GA, Brandon Wentz and Tiffany of Milton, FL, and Samuel Wentz of Ellerslie, GA; three sisters, Angela Wentz of Centralia, MO., Rebecca (Beccy) Swaim and Brenton of Fulton, MO, and Melinda Shelton and Dennis of Carrier Mills, IL.; sister, Angela Wentz and Jeremy Dawson of Centralia, MO, one granddaughter , Jossette R. Wentz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Teal and his brothers, Steven and William (Willie) Wentz.
