Mary Odom Baker, age 87, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Parkwood Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late, William Harris and Bessie (Lawrence) Odom.
Mary retired from St. Francis Hospital as a registered nurse at age of 65. She loved and enjoyed her profession helping people.
Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Rebecca Pate, fiancée Randy Roland; her loving grandchildren, Logan Pate, wife Anna, Dylan Pate, Emily Baker and Carson Baker; and her loving sister, Carol Lentz, husband Steve. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Hollis Myers Baker, 28 years of marriage; and her loving son, Jeff Baker.
Mary's Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 3:00PM in the Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Reverend Daniel Mitchell will be officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday afternoon at Striffler-Hamby from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Private burial will follow chapel service at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907.
