Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.
Mrs. Bush was born March 08, 1927 in Brighton, Alabama, daughter of the late Malcolm Jack Sanford and Mary Elizabeth Pogue Sanford. She attended the University of Alabama for four years where she played in the Powder Puff League. Mrs. Bush also met her husband, the late James Arnold Bush while attending the University of Alabama. She was a life time business woman owning and operating numerous businesses including Bush's Dry Cleaning, tree farming and numerous others. Mrs. Bush was also a member of DAR and UDC.
Survivors include her three children, James A. Bush, Jr., John Sanford Bush and Patricia Elizabeth Malone; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
