Mary L. Horne

Mary Louise Horne, age 94 and a resident of Columbus, GA, passed away Saturday, September, 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at Park Hill Cemetery with Pastor Mike Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA.

Louise was born in Troy, AL to the late Andrew Milton Pittman and Mary Susan Wilks. She was a loving and supportive wife and mother whose life was centered around her family. She graduated from Central High School and was a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Saint Elmo Horne; her siblings and two sons, Ronald (Ron) Horne and Robert (Bobby) Horne. Survivors include her son, Steve Horn (Jennifer) and daughter, Pam Horne.

Survivors also include nine grandchildren, Jason Horne, Shandell Woods, Charmin O’Block, Kami Davidson (Mike), Ashley Greenway (Brandon), Clay Horne, Mandi Horne, Laurie Skibbe (Ryan) and Kathleen Wilkinson (Stuart) and great-grandchildren, Alivia Davidson, Gabe Davidson, Lola Greenway, Lottie Kate Greenway and Harper Skibbe as well as several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Columbus Chapter, 233 12th St., Ste. 710, Columbus, GA 31901.
