Mary Ruth Hughes

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church with Reverends Paul Thomas and Watson McKemie officiating. Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus. Visitation for Mrs. Hughes will be from 6-8pm, on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the funeral home.

Other than her parents Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Hughes, and a son, Wallace Hughes.

Survivors include three daughters, Dianne Bentley and Patti Dague both of Columbus, GA., and Gwen Spivey of Dawson, GA., nine grandchildren: Steve Bentley and his wife Nathalie, Tammy Bynum and her husband Ashley, Scott Goodman and his wife Regina, Alan Goodman, Joshua Spivey and his wife April, Brandi Harrell and her husband James, Jon Hughes and his wife Jolie, Jason Hughes and his wife Tonya, Jennifer Lang and her husband Brett and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Sue Kinz.
