Mary Kate Kavanaugh

Mary was born in Columbus, Georgia on June 9, 1956 to the late Doris Barker Greer and Marvin Leonard Greer. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family beyond measure. Mary was a florist by trade, she was the florist and owner of Betty Bass Flowers & Gifts for many years. Upon her retirement from cheering others up with her beautiful floral arrangements, Mary loved caring for her own garden and flowers at her home.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Al Greer and his wife, Gail, special Uncle and Aunt, Elisha James Greer and his wife, Molly.

Mary is survived by her husband, David Kavanaugh; her son Sean Elmore; her step child Joey Kavanaugh, her step child Walter Kavanaugh, her grandchild Hunter Elmore, her grandchild Brittany Elmore, her grandchild Grace Elmore, her step grandchild Jude Kavanaugh, her niece Jenny King (Mike), her niece Dianna Roberts (Andy), her great nephew Jonathan King, her great nephew Andrew Roberts, her great niece Lauren Rogers and her great nephew Andrew King.

A celebration of life graveside service for Mary will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
