Mary A Marshall

The family will welcome guests for visitation Friday, October 27, 2017 6-8 pm in the St Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 3:00 pm in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with burial in Parkhill Cemetery. Pastor Rob Goodwin will officiate.

Mary was born in Washington Courthouse, OH February 28, 1932 to her late parents Marion Neff and Mable Hetzler Neff. She attended Summerville Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL and loved visiting with her family, pulling for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.

Other than her parents, Mary is preceded in death by: her husband John Wesley Marshall; two sons, James S. Marshall and John E. Marshall; son in-law David Booker. She is survived by: son Pete (Robyn) Marshall of Columbus, GA; four daughters, Brenda Marshall of Columbus, GA, Kimberly Booker of Millington, TN, Teresa DeFilippo of Columbus, GA, and Malinda (Lou) Fogle of Atlanta, GA; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three nieces, other family members, and special friends, Lena Swindt and Kendall Protho .
