Mary Jeanette Smallwood

Mary was born on August 10, 1928 in Brantley, Alabama. Mary married the love of her life, Elmo M. Smallwood, and they were married for 22 years.

Mary loved to watch the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. She was also a big fan of Alabama football and country music. Mary loved visiting with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Elmo M. Smallwood, sons Danny Smallwood Sr., Edmond Smallwood, and Dennis Smallwood.

She is survived by her sons, Randy Smallwood and David Smallwood, grandson Danny Smallwood Jr. (Leigh), granddaughters Sally Smallwood, Amber Halverson (Marshall, Harper, Kash, Ellie, and Theia), and Tiffany Smallwood (Andrew), grandsons Randy Smallwood Jr. and James Smallwood, and multiple great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
