Mary Ann Masotta Watson

Mary Watson, 82, of Columbus, GA left us on Friday, March 16th, 2012 at her home surrounded by those that loved her. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late John and Josephine Masotta. It was there in Boston that she met her husband of 57 years, Jimmy.

Visitation will be Monday, March 19, 2012 from 6-8pm at Strifler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Strifler-Hamby Mortuary on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, 2 pm with Pastor Thomas Pope officiating.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy, her brother, Joe Masotta (Terry), three children: Debbie Watson Wooten, Billy Watson (Debbie), Sandy Watson Tutherow (David), four grandchildren: Adam Tutherow (Jessie), Lori Wooten (Parker), Kyle Tutherow (Kelli), Lisa Wooten Stanford, five great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends. Although she will be missed dearly, we try to remember, she is gone from our sight. That is all. And just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone", there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!".
