Mary Ann Weldon

Mary Ann Weldon, age 76, resident of Midland, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. Memorial services are scheduled at Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Sunday, April 2, 2017, 3 p.m. The family will receive friends for one hour at the funeral home after the service.

Mrs. Weldon, daughter of the late Lawrence Madere and Schubert Mary Madere, was born February 5, 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She had a distinguished career with Bellsouth, where she worked for over 25 years.

Mrs. Weldon was Methodist by faith and member of Bellsouth Pioneer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell D. Weldon. Mrs. Weldon is survived by her companion, Billy Holman of Midland, Georgia; daughters, Stormy Barker and her husband Gerald of Columbus and Robin Weldon, also of Columbus; son, Jeff Weldon and his wife Jessica of Birmingham, Alabama; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
